Leverett Trails Committee Events

Cave Hill – Saturday, July 15 8:30am – 11:00am

We’re scheduling a quick workday for the south end of the Cave Hill property. Meet at start of Goding Trail on Montague Rd (look for a pull-off on the north side of the road between #s 257 and 231).

We’ll be clearing out a short reroute section (to avoid a wet patch), installing a bog bridge, and making sure the trails are looking their best!
I’m posting the end time to be 11AM, but this may be rather generous– we’re anticipating a quick day here.
Please bring tools for clearing trails (clippers, loppers, rakes) and the usual enthusiasm for the outdoors!

LTC Meeting – Monday, July 17 – CANCELLED

I had forgotten that the LTC usually goes on break for the summer (the better for staying out of the heat!).

Gordon King – Saturday, Sept 16 8:30am – 11:30am (Rain date: Sept 23)

Quite a bit of debris has fallen into the small pond on the Gordon King property, and it is getting overgrown. We’re scheduling a fall workday to clean up this area. Wear waterproof boots (and bring waders if you have them)!

New LTC events are being planned all the time. To be put on the email list for notification, just ask.

While Harvest Festival Folks were frolicking and flocking to the LTC information table, the LTC Bridge Builders constructed the second/final wooden bridge across Doolittle Brook

Blueberries with frost B

Halloween morning was cool, but the work and the fire at the Gordon Kind blueberry patch and pond kept us warm.

Either the rock is very big or the man is very small. This fall neighbors and trails committee folk opened 3 new trails on the Cave Hill Conservation Area. This rock it on the West Trail.

December 6, the last of 3 Work Days on Rattlesnake Hill. All 3 trails cleared and signs in place. Cookies all eaten, we must be finished for the season!
